I TAKE THE VOW (ITV) is currently seeking to connect with interns and volunteers! Whether it's contributing your time, or skills through volunteerism or seeking to gain “on paper” experience as an intern, we welcome you to get in touch! We will return your quality volunteer efforts with letters of reference, and all the support we can possibly offer. If you have a passion, and can match that passion to a skill that bring ideas to life, and don’t see an opening that fits with you below- do not despair! In collaboration and creativity, we’re here to listen to your ideas, suggestions and projects finding ways we can make change together. Whether it’s nonviolence, children/youth or perhaps environmentalism that you are passionate about, share your ideas by contacting us today.
Below you will find a list of specific opportunities for volunteers and interns we are currently seeking. If you are interested in any of the specific opportunities please email us with the subject field of the email being one of the title’s below. If none of these openings fit with you, and you are looking to get involved and make a difference, send us an email with information about yourself and what skills you would like to contribute with and we will work together to find the perfect fit for you at ITV! We are always interested in supporting and connecting with people who wish to write relevant articles of educational or reflective nature, ITV Group Cultivators, Inspirational Videos, Organizations and Change Makers- send us a note!

Ambassadors
I Take the Vow Ambassadors are integral volunteers who are passionate about the message of the vow. Our Ambassadors help create awareness, through a variety of methods! Some ambassadors speak to the media, create buzz within the social networking community, or initiate the development of ITV GROUPS both online and off, while others have launched full scale school programs, and encourage youth to become leaders in their community.
We welcome your ideas, so do share! Our hope is to connect with your passion and help support your projects, ideas, and evolve together. Organizations, groups, and projects are very welcome to contact us and get involved! We have an “always open door policy” to ideas, projects, missions and visions!
Communications Assistant:
Work closely with the Director and Communications Specialist managing incoming inquires related to the I Take the Vow movement.
Supporting and nurturing relationships with our Ambassadors and supporters. communicating through emails and/or telephone/skype calls.
Working in tandem with the Communications Specialist as needed.
Assisting in the creation of materials through varied software. Powerpoint, or Keynote, Word etc.
Communication Specialist
Work collaboratively with the Director to create our Communications Strategy
Develop and maintain media contact list including local, ethnic, and specialized media
- Write, edit and distribute press releases, letters to editors, and mass email communications and announcements
- Make outreach calls, pitch stories, and cultivate relationships with media
- Coordinate and actively update social networking sites including but not limited to Twitter and Facebook
- Work collaboratively with the team to develop, implement, programme specific outreach and marketing plans
- Assist with the creation, design and electronic media
- Ensure the vow movement brand and message are maintained on all publications and electronic media
- Assist with writing, editing and creating newspaper ads, flyers, direct mail letters, sponsorship materials
Social Networking Specialist
We are seeking to connect with an intern or volunteer looking to make their mark in Social Media.
Key areas:
- Identify, Create and Manage Social Networking strategy alongside our team, (twitter, Facebook and others) through monitoring, posting and content development.
- Volunteer/ Intern should be familiar with marketing concepts, practices. Be extremely social and highly creative, with strong writing skills, and should be familiar with blogging, social media tools (like twit pic, tweet later etc).
- This person(s) should be an independent thinker and a task master behaving with honesty and integrity.
- Plan, develop, execute, and manage social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, YouTube, etc.
- Managing and strategizing Social Bookmarking efforts
- Commenting on relevant blogs
- RSS submissions, Directory submissions, Article submissions
Volunteer Co-ordinator
As our Volunteer co-ordinator you will strive to:
- Be innovative agents for change and progress.
- Be passionate advocates for volunteering.
- Welcome diversity and ideas.
- Develop trusting and positive environments in which volunteers and other resources are effectively engaged and empowered.
- Develop networks and facilitate partnerships
- Be guided by, and committed to the goals and ideals of the vision
- Communicate sensitively and accurately
Key Areas:
Create and develop volunteer recruitment strategy through to execution
Identify skills and connect skills to matching needs within our vision.
Support, communicate and develop relationships with volunteers.
Content Specialist:
The Content Specialist is responsible for creating and/or acquiring content for the website, email newsletters and other online communications. Researching relevant content, videos and creating content partnerships. Also uploading and editing content. This opening could be filled by more than one person, if you are able to work as a team efficiently.
Project/Program Developers
We’re looking for exceptionally motivated creative 'do-ers' to develop ITV programs, examples are, but absolutely not limited to: the Youth Ambassadors Program, Environmental Action program. If you are passionate about a cause or concern, this is an opportunity to see it come to life.

- Action oriented worksheets ( Daily Deeds)
